Job opportunities at Compass Milton Keynes
Due to the continued success and resulting growth of Compass we are looking for a few extra pairs of hands. Have a read through the specs below, and if you think you'd be suitable please get in touch using the details at the top of the page.
Web designer/Graphic designer/exhibition stand designer
Full-time/freelance/part-time possibilities
We are looking for a graphic designer who has a few extra strings to their bow... Knowledge and experience of design for standards based web sites is a must, but we would also like somoeone who could produce designs for print and for exhibition stand graphics. You don't necessarily need to have experience in these other fields but a knowledge of setting up designs for print and managing large print projects would be beneficial, as would a general willingness to learn.
Ideally you would know the Adobe products inside out and also have worked with Macromedia Fireworks and Quark. We are happy for you to work from home if required and would be able to supply suitable equipment if necessary.
Web programmer(s)
Full-time/freelance/part-time possibilities
We are looking for skilled web programmers to help us with our ever increasing list of clients. Ideally some or all of these skills would describe you:
- A HTML and CSS hand coding god - i.e. no tables for layout etc
- Proven experience in converting designs to W3C valid HTML
- PHP and MySQL - particularly eCommerce, bespoke system development and perhaps customisation of off-the-shelf packages.
- .NET/ASP developer familiar with MS SQL Server
- Java and Javascript skills
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails would also be a real plus
Generally we are looking for people with a real enthusiasm for the web and some ambition to adopt all of the latest technologies and create brilliant web applications.
We would like to hear from anyone with suitable experience and some or all of the skills mentioned above, however we would also be interested to hear from college or uni graduates with an appropriate qualification.
