Imitation is the best form of flattery....

I recently stumbled across a web site that you can use to see if anyone else is ripping off the content from your web site (CopyScape.com) .

So I duly entered a few pages from our own web site to see who's pinching our ideas... Sure enough one company seemed to like our 'guide to writing a brief for a web site' enough to copy it almost word for word and pass it off as their own work.

So it's worthwhile considering this when you are preparing content for your web site. People will read it and if it's good, they will copy it.

To stay one step ahead of the pack, you must continually add useful information and worthwhile content to your web site.

If you are in the habit of using other peoples work either link directly to it or download it, read it and write your own - without using the copy and paste commands!
